1-Day Wadi El Rayan & Wadi Hitan Desert Safari

Continue your desert safari to Wadi El Rayan and Wadi Hitan by driving on the road to Wadi Hitan, where there are whale skeletons everywhere for you to see and take pictures. The trail extends for 40 kilometers within the Wadi El Rayyan Nature Reserve, also known as Wadi Al-Hitan, classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. On the way, we will also stop at Jabal al-Mudawara, which overlooks a stunning landscape west of Lake Fayoum.

We will take you on an exploration trip to Wadi Hitan National Park, the famous open-air museum in the history of ancient Egypt, dating back 40 million years and considered one of the oldest places in the world that illustrates the evolution of whales. More than 400 species of whale and dugong skeletons have been discovered, as well as other bones, shells, and plant fossils, most of them preserved in soft rock. After a wonderful 4WD tour, we will stop for lunch and Bedouin tea in the afternoon, then return to the hotel in Cairo.
